SoLa’s LA Fire Response
The SoLa Foundation and its for-profit affiliate, SoLa Impact, grieve the loss of life and property caused by the LA Fires. Not only are 15,000+ homes destroyed but countless treasured community spaces, schools, small businesses and religious institutions are gone.
Like a phoenix from the ashes, LA will rise again and SoLa will be there every step of the way. Through the Together We Rebuild Campaign, we will focus on LA Fire impacted families Eaton Fire in Altadena by providing immediate material aid and relief, medium- to long-term support, and resources to help these families and communities rebuild and recover stronger than before.
Our capacity to quickly build high quality affordable and modular housing, offer a catalogue of tech career training and education access initiatives positions SoLa to add unique and urgently needed value to recover efforts now and in the future.

A Holistic Approach to Resilience & Recovery for Fire Impacted Families

On February 22, The SoLa Foundation, It’s Bigger Than Us and partners are coming together to create a unique day of wellness, self care, resources and fun for more than 750 families impacted by the LA Fire. Together, we will heal the body and the mind, build community and resilience - all at no cost to impacted families with transportation provided.
This is only our first phase in our response to the fire. It will take a village to rebuild and we’re here for the long haul.

The SoLa Tech & Entrepreneurship Center Powered by Riot Games Hosts Rosebud Academy
On Monday, January 27, the SoLa Foundation welcomed 150 TK-8th grade students from Rosebud Academy, an Altadena charter school destroyed in the fire. 50% of the student body and faculty lost their homes or were displaced by the fires. The SoLa Tech Center is serving as a peaceful and secure location as the school plans its next steps. Learn more.
